Comcast employees to help clean up park

Approximately 100 Comcast employees are expected to volunteer their time Sunday to spruce up Rushmore Park in Plainfield as part of Comcast Cares Day.

Fair weather permitting, the volunteers will work to refurbish fencing along the perimeter of Third Street and Rushmore Avenue in Plainfield

In the case of inclement weather, the crew will paint the interior of the park's recreation facilities.

Plainfield City Hall staffers have arranged for lunches and snacks for the volunteers.

"A clean city is every citizen's right and every city administration's responsibility," Mayor Sharon Robinson-Briggs said in a written statement.
