Stopped motorist robbed at knifepoint
PLAINFIELD: A woman robbed a motorist of $20 at knifepoint, police said yesterday.
The alleged victim, a 22-year-old South Plainfield man, told police he was stopped at the intersection of Liberty and West Front streets about 4:40 a.m. Saturday when the woman approached the vehicle.
The man said the woman pulled out a knife and opened the passenger side door, police said. The woman demanded money and the man handed over $20, police said.
When the woman demanded more, the man got out of his car and ran away, police. said.
